Statistics: Russia’s potash fertilizer exports grow 19.3% in Sep
MOSCOW, Nov 24 (PRIME) -- Russia’s exports of potash fertilizers increased by 19.3% on the month to U.S. $177 million in September, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Tuesday.
Exports of nitrogen fertilizers rose by 33.8% on the month to $279 million. Total exports of chemical products rose by 7% to $2.148 billion, while imports of chemical products and rubber increased by 4.7% to $3.406 billion.
In January–September, Russia’s exports of potash fertilizers decreased by 21.4% on the year to $1.287 billion, and exports of nitrogen fertilizers fell by 12.4% to $1.89 billion. Total exports of chemical products shrank by 12.4% to $17.519 billion in the period, and imports contracted by 10.6% to $30.22 billion.
